Dear Members,
It is the exciting start of a new fiscal year!
Since I joined the chapter back in 2001, it has been my long time dream to become chapter president. Today that dream has been realized and it is a great feeling.
I have a lot of ideas for this year, starting with my theme, “We are Ambassadors”. I want each member to feel that they are an empowered voice who is heard. Each member is more than just a member, we are ambassadors.
As an ambassador, I am asking for you to please embrace this role, i.e., speak about the chapter to someone new, invite a guest to a meeting, write an article for The Pulse, introduce yourself to a new person at the meeting. There are so many possibilities!!!
We can certainly make this the most dynamic year, but we must do it together.
This year we are kicking off some more networking opportunities with the start of the new monthly social lunch (the 2nd Tuesday of each month). We will have a quarterly social event, like the Happy Hour held on July 8th. Additionally, we have added 15 more minutes of networking to our monthly meetings. We will also starting our new mentorship program, and next month we will have a new member orientation. This is only just the beginning.
